A 25-year-old man who is identified as Emmanuel Okon has been to 21 years imprisonment by the Akwa Ibom State High Court in Ibiono Ibom LGA.
The 21 years jail term handed to him Emmanuel Okon comes from his nefarious acts of stealing items from students of the University of Uyo, Uyo (UNIUYO).
After bouts of reports from the students to the police about missing items in their hostels and campus, the police team set him up and he was later arrested by the police operatives at the main campus of the University.
While delivering the judgment on Friday, Justice Okon Okon noted that the convicted robber was found guilty of the the charges labeled against him, a crime which is said to be punishable under the Robbery and Firearms Special Provisions Act, 2004.
The convicted Emmanuel Okon hails from Eyo Abasi village in Oron Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
