27 Rivers lawmakers dump PDP for APC – In the Rivers State House of Assembly, twenty-seven legislators have defected to the All Progressives Congress, or APC.
The decision was made by the MPs, who were elected on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform, at the plenary meeting on Monday at the Rivers Assembly Complex.

The legislators were those that Martin Amaehwule led.

Additionally, it was learned that the legislators support Chief Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Remember that the state legislature’s attempt to remove Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara from office resulted in a major crisis.
