Mark Zuckerberg reviews Apple Vision Pro and thinks that the Meta Quest 3 is ‘the better product.”
Two weeks after its release, the Apple Vision Pro has received a lot of criticism from several users, and intending users have fed on these reviews radically to help inform their decision on the product. In the US, many critics have reviewed the product and their opinions have been laid out publicly. some claim to be impressed by the technology, while others express concern about it.
After trying the Vision Pro, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg—who is vying with it with his own mixed-reality headset, Meta Quest 3—posted a video evaluation. Speaking his mind, he declared, “Quest is the better product, hands down.”
The review was on Zuckerberg’s Instagram profile. He discusses the aspects of Apple Vision Pro that he found appealing and outlines the areas in which the Meta Quest 3 excels in the three-minute video.
“Before this, I expected that Quest would be a better value for most people since it’s really good and it is seven times less expensive,” he said at the beginning of the review. He continues by saying that Quest 3 is, all things considered, a superior product now that he has used the headset.

Given that Zuckerberg has harbored doubts about the Apple Vision Pro from its initial unveiling at the iPhone manufacturer’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2023, the opinion is not surprising. He claimed at the time that Apple’s demos consistently featured an individual sitting on a couch by themselves and that Meta’s idea for the metaverse was essentially social.
When evaluating the mixed-reality headset, Zuckerberg said that the Vision Pro’s high-resolution display was excellent and that the eye-tracking function was really nice. He quickly clarified, though, that he was taken aback by the amount of compromises Apple made with the headset’s other features like quality, comfort, and ergonomics to achieve that.
Zuckerberg also used the chance to contrast the Apple headset with the Meta Quest 3, explaining that the mixed-reality headset was designed to be more comfortable by weighing 120g less than its predecessor. In contrast to Vision Pro, he also mentioned that the Quest 3 has no wires that interfere with the user’s freedom of movement. He added that Meta’s wearable had a greater field of view and screen brightness.
“When I look around, I see a lot of people who assumed that Vision Pro would be higher quality because it’s Apple and it costs $3000 more. But honestly, I’m pretty surprised that Quest is so much better for a vast majority of things that people use these headsets for with that price differential,” he continued.
