The Youth Vote Count which was organized and held by some Nigerian celebrities has proven to be a huge success and was able to pull out the top guns at INEC to the event.
The event was programmed to awaken Nigerians to the consciousness of their voting rights and how powerful their vote is in determining the direction the nation takes.
Surely, the awareness campaign for people to get their PVCs is sweeping across the nation as it has become the responsibility of every citizen to evangelize and sensitize the other.
The Nigerian artistes have been doing the most on this campaign and are not relenting in their efforts.
The Youth Vote Count 2.0 mega concert held at Tafawa Balewa Square as ticket free concert, the only way you can be granted access is if you present your PVC at the entrance.
In attendance was 2face Idibia, Falz, Mc Macaroni, Wake, Omawumi Kizz Daniel, M.I and a lot of other star artistes who Performed at the event.
Also, the campaign attracted top officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission who graced the event.
In attendance was the Hon. Chairman INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, Members of the Commission, REC Lagos State, Mr. Olusegun Agbaje and Aides of the Hon. Chairman at the Youth Vote Count 2 Mega Concert in Lagos.
When given the platform to speak, the INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu assured the youths that their voices have been heard and that they will hear from them concerning CVR extension.
He also assured everyone that their votes will count.
“We have heard your requests loud & clear. You will soon hear from us on extension of CVR registration. Please assure me that you will register, pick your PVCs and Vote. I also assure you that your vote will count,” Prof. Mahmood Yakubu said
