Nigeria is the main issue, and they must save the country, according to Debo Ologunagba, the national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who also revealed that Governor Nyesom Wike, who the party considered to be an important member, and all party members, leaders, and stakeholders agreed on this.
He claimed that the ongoing infighting will not have an impact on the party’s prospects in the general elections of 2023.
This was said by Ologunagba when he spoke with journalists in Abuja, adding that the misunderstanding would be cleared up soon.
In order to announce its national campaign council for the 2023 presidential election, he claimed that the party was working on it.
“The PDP is alive. We are active and we are working hard on our mission statement.
“We are working on our campaign council, in a couple of days it will be unveiled for the people to see.
“Irrespective of what we are reading in the newspaper, I can tell you that PDP is firm and ready for the 2023 general elections.
“We tell our members and Nigerians that the PDP is here and the darkness is going and the countdown has started,” Ologunagba said.

Despite the internal fighting, he said that all party members and leaders were dedicated to tackling Nigeria’s problems, such as those with the economy, security, ASUU, and others.
In order to fulfill its purpose, Ologunagba continued, the party respected the opinions and contributions of all Nigerians.
In addition, he claimed that the large number of politicians that switched allegiances to the PDP indicated that the party was popular with the general public.
“In the last four months you have witnessed a lot of defection into PDP which shows our connection with the people and you saw the impacts on recent elections.
“Our membership is growing and people are connecting with us.
“What this signifies is that the PDP is alive to its responsibilities to Nigerians and we are focused on the mission to rescue Nigeria,” he said.
