Despite the heavy criticism heaped on the England and Manchester United defender; Harry Maguire, the England coach has said the team has better chances of winning with the player involved.

He started against Germany in the last international break where he gave away a penalty and made an error leading to the second goal.
There are arguably better and more in-form defenders (Benjamin White) who can provide proper coverage and play as a right back, making Southgate’s decision to stick with Maguire comical.
He has been questioned about his sentimentality to the player to keep featuring him as he has done so little to prove himself. Keeping him may cost the team and (probably) ultimately his job. We look forward to his final selection
