Before Wednesday’s Champions League match against Ajax, Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti says that star forward Victor Osimhen is ready to return from injury.
The Nigerian international suffered an injury in Napoli’s September 8 UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool.
On Monday, he trained alongside his teammates for the first time since sustaining the injury.
According to Spalletti, Osimhen is fit enough to play in Wednesday’s match against the Eredivisie Champions, who include Nigerian international Calvin Bassey.
The Italian manager referred to him as the team’s strength and emphasized how fortunate they are to have him.

He stated, “Victor is a strength of our team because he is a top player. He is working well and is ready to give his contribution,” Spalleti told a press conference on Tuesday.
“For us, Osimhen has to become another leader of this team. We are lucky because we have three forwards with different characteristics that together make up the totality of the qualities that complete the department.”
Napoli are undefeated in this season’s campaign, and their victory over Ajax secured their early advancement to the next round.
