Benue state witnessed an exhilarating moment on Monday as five governors – Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Samuel Ortom (Benue) – of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who are often known as “G5” were in Makurdi, the state capital, to inaugurate some of the projects done by the governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom.
It will be recalled that recently, the five governors, especially Governor Wike has given their reservations on Iyorchia Ayu, being the National Chairman of PDP and have asked him to resign.
At the inauguration, one of the projects which was inaugurated by Governor Ortom was a 2.1km Township Road, which according to Ortom is named Nyesom Wike Road, named after the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
However, the 2.1km Township Road, just behind the Commissioner’s Quarters in Makurdi leads to the house of Iyorchia Ayu.
It will be recalled that on Monday night, Governor Wike had boasted that no one can break the PDP G5, because they are bonded to save Nigeria.
In his words: “People have tried to see how they can break us, you cannot. We are bonded to save Nigeria.
“That is why when you see all of us, we are impenetrable. Nobody can divide us. They have tried everything in this world to divide us, but no way.
“The way we operate; I will talk, we have people who don’t talk. You may be underrating them. By the time they will shock you, you will think it is Wike, it is not Wike you are seeing,” Wike said.
