Google is set to release two Google Pixel phones as the tech giants are all set to host it’s two-day event-themed Google I/O 2023 on May 10. One of the pixel phones will be a foldable phone which will represent the company’s creativity and show its preparedness to compete with the latest technological trends. However, the other phone’s name is yet to be revealed.
Howbeit, reports have it that the unrevealed phone is going to be the Google Pixel 7a and it has been confirmed via a promotional banner on an e-commerce website that these devices will be launched in India on May 11th. The phone which is succeeding the Google Pixel 6a has been shown in a snow white color scheme.

Images of the Pixel 7a are now available on Flipkart as part of a promotional banner, confirming the device’s availability in India and will be available on May 11. The phone appears to have a similar design to the Pixel 7 series, based on the image. Aside from that, no information about the upcoming phone’s specifications or features has been officially shared by the company. However, several rumors and leaks have given us a good idea of the upcoming Pixel phone’s specifications.

A tipster previously leaked the phone’s color as well as some of its key specifications. According to rumors, the Google Pixel 7a will be available in Arctic Blue, Carbon, and Cotton color options. A Tensor G2 SoC is said to power the smartphone. It will reportedly have a 6.1-inch Full-HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is expected to ship with a dual rear camera system led by a 64-megapixel primary sensor. On the back panel, there could be a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens. It could have a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
In addition, the phone’s price has been leaked and is speculated to cost between $450 and $500 (approximately Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 40,000).
Meanwhile, Google teased the upcoming Pixel Fold phone, revealing its design, hinge mechanism, inner display, and underlying software. The phone is shown to have a large camera module on the back that houses three cameras and an LED flash unit. The device will most likely be powered by Google’s current generation Tensor G2 SoC. It is expected to have a 5.8-inch OLED outer display (1,080×2,092 pixels) with a 17.4:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 7.6-inch inner display (1,840 x 2,208 pixels) with a 6:5 aspect ratio.
