EA (Electronic Arts) has announced that its new studio Cliffhanger Games is working with Marvel Games on a third-person, single-player Black Panther game. EA made the announcement on Monday
Cliffhanger Games claims that the upcoming action-adventure game will allow fans of the superhero franchise to explore the vast world of Wakanda.
Kevin Stephens, the former Monolith Productions studio head, is in charge of the development studio. In today’s release, Stephens stated that it will provide gamers with “more agency and control over their narrative than they have ever experienced in a story-driven video game,” he said in a statement.
“We want our game to enable players to feel what it’s like to be worthy of the Black Panther mantle in unique, story-driven ways, and we want Cliffhanger Games to empower everyone on our team as we collaborate to bring this amazing world to life,” Stephens added.

Cliffhanger Games declined to share specific details of the anticipated game, including its title, launch date, and plot points.
The game’s announcement coincides with Marvel’s celebration of the 57th anniversary of Black Panther’s comic debut. In 2018, Marvel Studios launched the first “Black Panther” film, which grossed billions of dollars worldwide. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” the sequel, was released in November 2022 and was the most-watched Marvel premiere on Disney+ in terms of hours streamed.
Marvel has recently collaborated with big studios and publishers to create character-based games, such as Sony’s Wolverine and Spider-Man 2 titles. Motive Studio at EA is also developing an Iron Man game.
