Tinubu’s Ambitious Plan to Create 500000 Jobs – With the previously abandoned Ajaokuta Steel Complex now close to completion, President Bola Tinubu has announced that the project will have the capacity to employ 500,000 Nigerians once it is established as a free trade zone.
The president also pledged to fully utilize the potential of the infrastructure once it has been completed since doing so would increase Nigeria’s foreign direct investment and open up opportunities for the development of the favorable business environment that is required for the growth of all sectors.
This was announced by Vice President Kashim Shettima, who was speaking on behalf of the President, yesterday at the launch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship campaign in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State.
On November 11, the state will hold its governorship election.
Shettima also mentioned that the President remained dedicated to finishing the River Niger, the Kabba-Lokoja, and the Abuja-Lokoja roads when speaking to a sizable crowd in Lokoja.
The vice president claims that Tinubu is still a man of many ideas who was committed to putting the country back in its proper position, particularly as it relates to restructuring and boosting the Nigerian economy.
“Given Mr. President’s commitment to the development of Kogi State and indeed the entirety of Nigeria, Kogi in particular being a confluence state, cannot afford to have a governor who is hostile to the center. We must be partners in progress and work hand in hand to develop this great nation,” Shettima said.

In addition, he implied that the Tinubu administration intended to make the Itakpe crop processing project a reality, just as he had promised that the current administration would provide jobs and inexpensive education.
The vice president urged Kogi residents to cast their votes for Ahmed Usman Ododo on November 11 in order to build on the successes of the APC government in the state, stressing that the welfare of the populace will never be purposefully compromised.
The natural resources of Kogi State, he continued, would be used for both the state’s and the country’s development. He also mentioned that Tinubu had given his approval for the restoration of the Obajana-Okene road in Kogi State.
Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, praised Tinubu for agreeing to launch the governorship race in his state early. He said that his administration has accomplished a lot and that consolidation is necessary to advance the state.
He said, “We have done a lot in the area of security, education and health, among others. We want to consolidate on that. I am, therefore, calling on the people of our dear state to vote for our candidate in order to move Kogi State forward”.
Speaking in addition, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the APC, stated that because Bello has given the Kogi people good administration, the state cannot afford to fall behind by electing a party that is different from the one in power.

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, the chairman of the APC Campaign Council for Kogi State, urged the people of Kogi State to update their voter registration records and turn out in large numbers to support the APC candidate in the governorship election on November 11.
Ahmed Ododo, the APC candidate for governor of Kogi State, made a commitment to the development agenda of the state and promised to lead the people of the state if elected.
“We will build on the legacies of my mentor, Governor Yahaya Bello. We will give attention to security, education, agriculture and health. Our women will also be empowered,” he said.
Prior to the November 11 governorship election, the vice president’s engagements in Kogi had begun with a meeting with traditional chiefs and other state stakeholders.
Shettima also asked for support for the APC candidate in the next election at the meeting with the stakeholders.
The President of the Kogi State Traditional Council and the Attah of Igala, HRH Mathew Ipaluwa, responded on behalf of his colleagues and promised their support for President Bola Tinubu.
The state’s governor, Yahaya Bello, was congratulated by the royal father for working hard to alleviate the state’s security issues.
