The appointment of former Nigeria Super Eagles player, Daniel Amokachi, as the Special Assistant to the President on Sports as been described as a welcome development to sports in the country.
The Super Eagles Media Officer, Oluwatoyin Ibitoye, described the development as a step in the right direction for the overall development of sports in Nigeria.
The Super Eagles Media Officer made the declaration on Channels Television’s Sports This Morning.
“This good for us, good for the Eagles and good for sports generally; I wish him the best and hope he makes a positive impact,”
“It is not all about attempting to come to coach the Eagles but you can also be useful.”
Daniel Amokachi was on Thursday appointed as Special Assistant on Sports to President Muhammadu Buhari.
As a Special Assistant, Amokachi is expected to advise the Nigerian President on all sports matters.
