The APC primaries which began on Tuesday night has officially come to an end with Bola Tinubu declared the winner of the primaries election and the party’s flag bearer.
The APC presidential primaries has come to an end, sortings have been concluded and results have been announced in what the APC terms a very transparent presidential primaries.
The election took a dramatic turn when some aspirants including Godswill Akpabio, Amosun, Fayemi and others stepped down and declared their full support for Ahmed Bola Tinubu, declaring that they trust in his capacity to deliver.
Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo also had an aspirant who stepped down so that he could further his course and better his chances of winning which later proved futile despite all efforts to arrive at victory.
A total of nine aspirants withdrew from the race and the party has confirmed that all nine aspirants had signed the voluntary withdrawal form.
From there on, the primaries took a different turn and most of the odds began to play in favor of the former Lagos state governor.
Tinubu had earlier said that it has been his lifetime dream to win and be president, and upon winning he has stated that he holds no grudge against anyone.
Tinubu finished first with 1,271 vote, Rotimi Amaechi trailing behind him in second position finished with 316 votes and Vice Presdent Yemi Osibanjo came third with 235 votes at the end of the primaries election.
