THE governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday has said that the current Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike is as a result of the of leaders that are not devoted to solving the problems of the people.
Governor Wike however noted that although the demands of the academic union are accumulated, effective and proper negotiations by the government would have sorted out the negotiations.
The former Minister of State for Education however pleaded with ASUU to have a rethink on some demands as no government will be able to pay such amount in a single attempt, especially with the financial and economic crisis rocking the nation.
