President Muhammadu Buhari, has written a list of seven ministerial nominees he would like to have serve in his cabinet to the Senate seeking the confirmation of the seven ministerial nominees.
President Buhari, had earlier promised to replace the ministers who had resigned to join the election race in 2023, so that the country can continuously run smoothly.
The government had asked all ministers, ambassadors, agency heads and other political appointees including the central bank governor to resign on or by May 16 if they decide to join the 2023 election race.
The nominees are: Henry Ikechukwu – Abia State, Umana Okon Umana – Akwa-Ibom State; Ekuma Joseph – Ebonyi State; Goodluck Nana Obia – Imo State; Umar Ibrahim Yakub – Kano State; Ademola Adewole Adegorioye – Ondo State; Odo Udi – Rivers State.
The Senate has, however, not fixed a date yet for the screening exercise.
