The Lagos State Government has suspended the reopening of worship centers in the state.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the decision at a press briefing on Tuesday.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had announced that Mosques will re-open on Friday, june 19, while Churches will re-open on June 21.
According to him, the development became necessary as a result of the rising cases of COVID-19 in the state, adding that the suspension is indefinite.
On Monday, Nigeria recorded a total of 573 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 16,658.
