Flight operations in Lagos State have resumed after over three months of being shut down following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, the turnout of passengers was low at the domestic wing of the Murtala International Airport, Lagos.
Passengers were seen with their masks on, observing social distancing and adhering to other COVID-19 protocols as they board.
The airlines, however, hiked their fares for flights from Lagos to Abuja, NAN reports.
Air Peace sold its economy plan for N33,000 for a one-way Lagos-Abuja trip while the business class ticket cost N80,000.
However, Arik Air charged N29,200 for its economy plan
The business class went for N78,599.
Director of Aviation Security, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Usman Sadiq, assured that adequate security measures had been put in place.
He said security agencies across airports in the country had been directed to tackle security breaches.
