It was indeed a renaissance for the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Edo State chapter, yesterday, as it herald in a new executive led by Dr. Imoisili Udoka as the chairman.
The inauguration of the association executives which was held at the Doctors House at Ugbowo in Benin City Nigeria on Saturday had in attendance the immediate past chairman of NMA, Edo State, Dr. Harrison Omokhua, other medical practitioners and well-wishers.
Taking the oath of office, the newly elected chairman, Dr. Imoisili Udoka promised to “… honestly discharge my duties and will function to the best of my abilities…”
Dr. Udoka whose campaign was hinged on RESTORATION”22 PUTTING DOCTORS FIRST promised to serve at a higher level just as she has done in the past. This however shows her commitment and preparedness to discharge her responsibilities as the chairman of the association.
In her acceptance speech, Dr. Udoka said: “Let’s put our hands together and move Edo State NMA forward.”
While expressing her gratitude, she said: “I must thank the state leadership of Edo NMA, I must thank the zonal leadership of Edo State NMA, I must thank all affiliates…”
The immediate past chairman of the association, Dr. Harrison Omokhua presented the newly elected chairman with the leadership mantle while charging the executives to discharge their duties in order to move the association forward. She urged them to join us in fighting the common enemy which is time as all hands must be on deck to make NMA Edo state grate again.
Speaking with Dr. Emmy one of the attendees she express her gratitude to God and also wish the newly inaugurated executives the best in dispensing the task ahead, she also express her trust in the newly elected chairman, saying that she is fit for the Job looking at her antecedent and how passionate she has served to this stage. Victory at last, she added.
With her inauguration as the NMA chairman, Dr. Udoka Imoisili now doubles as the Chief Medical Director of the General Hospital, Auchi, Edo State.
