In order to prevent a possible collapse of law and order on the second anniversary of the EndSARS demonstration, police officers have stepped up surveillance in the state capital of Osogbo, Osun on Thursday.
In the capital, they were stationed at Ola-Iya, Old-Garage, Alekuwodo, Oke-Fia, Africa Oja-Oba, the stadium roundabout, and Ayetoro.
In what appears to be a show of force, the second group of security agents moves through the state capital in a convoy of police vehicles.

Osun civil society movement, in a program titled “Nigeria is in our hands… To commemorate the anniversary, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, Ismail Omipidan, who represented the government, stated that the current administration has compensated victims of police brutality in the state, as reported by the #EndSARS panel.
Also, a member of the judicial panel of #EndSARS in the state, Dr. Wasiu Oyedokun-Alli, who is also a panelist, stated, “We must continue to change the narrative to drive development for our nation. As youth who desire change, we must not be begging for money from politicians that we are protesting against.
He believes that under the constitution of 1999, no one elected to office will perform unless the constitution is reviewed.
Barrister Ibrahim Lawal, the keynote speaker, instructed that youngsters must always plan a legitimate demonstration to engage the government without violating the rights of other Nigerians.
