Nigeria’s Flamingoes are back to their winning ways after a 4-0 thumping on New Zealand 4-0 in their second match of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup ongoing in India.
Flamingoes, having lost 2-1 to Germany in their first match, the Nigerians played effortlessly to ensure that they qualify in the group stage of the tournament.
Amina Bello had given the Flamingoes a lead in the 16th minute of the gave, followed by Miracle Usani’s 34th goal.
Afolabi Taiwo Tewogbola fired in the third, in the 75th minute and the Nigerians finished the job on 95 minutes as substitute Etim Edidiong ensured the All Blacks cannot make it beyond round one.
With a win over Chile on Monday, the Flamingoes will be sure if qualifying for the group stage of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
