314 Boko Haram fighters and the Islamic state’s West Africa province (ISWAP), have surrendered to Nigerian troops in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
This was made known by the Nigerian Army Headquarters in a Post on it’s social media page on Wednesday night.
The Army have recorded this as part of their victory in the ongoing onslaught against terrorism in the North East.
This adds to their tallies of wins over terrorism in recent times.
The post reads, “The ongoing offensive onslaught against terrorism in the North East recorded another success today, 29 June, 2022, as 314 Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters surrendered to troops in Bama LGA of Borno State.
“Additionally, 12 farmers were also rescued by the troops. Profiling of the surrendered terrorists is ongoing.”
