Labour Party has picked Doyin Okupe as the running mate for Peter Obi.
Okupe’s name was submitted today as part of the plan to beat the Friday, June 17 deadline given by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to political parties.
“Yes, I am the vice-presidential candidate of our party because I was found worthy by the candidate and the party to serve,” Mr Okupe retorted when interview today.
Okupe while narrating how his party is going to oust the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, said LP will ensure it return Nigeria to its rightful owners, noting that Nigerians have suffered so much in the hands of APC.
Okupe was the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Director-General of Peter Obi Campaign.
