Following a request for air support, the Nigerian Air Force conducted an operation on Wednesday, resulting in the recovery of 28 terrorist bodies. Ongoing clearance efforts have also uncovered additional terrorist casualties, weapons, and burnt motorcycles.
The Air Component of Operation launched a targeted airstrike on September 11, 2024, against terrorists in Bassa, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, in response to a request for air support from ground forces. This precision operation successfully neutralized criminal elements that had been terrorizing local communities.
