Former presidential aide to Goodluck Johnathan, Reno Omokri, has accused the APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu, of being a drug lord.
Mr. Reno Omokri, made this claims in a series of tweets via his handle on Wednesday.
He accused the APC presidential candidate of being involved in a heroin drug ring in the United States of America, in 1991-1993.
Without fear he also asked the former Lagos state governor to take him to court if he is ready to disprove his claims and also dared Tinubu, to take a drug test if he is clean.
“I challenge @officialABAT, if you were not involved in a heroin drug ring in the United States in 1991-1993, then take me to court. Nigeria cannot have a KNOWN DRUG LORD as her President. God forbid. I also challenge Tinubu to take a drug test with @NDLEA_Nigeria”
“20 years ago @OfficialABAT had to forfeit half a million dollars to the U.S. Treasury Department after being named an ACCOMPLICE in a white heroin-trafficking and money-laundering ring”-@TheDailyBeast. And he wants to be your President!”
Reno Omokri, further went on to blast the APC for electing Tinubu, as their presidential candidate and expecting Nigerians to vote for him.
“What is wrong with the APC? How can they ask us to vote for a man with a heroin forfeiture case? This is not a charge, or an accusation, or a rumour. It is an actual judicial forfeiture of drug linked funds. How can a man linked with the drug trade be our President?” He said.
Also, he says that Tinubu, might be vulnerable to blackmail as a president due to his past.
“A man, like @officialABAT, with a drug linked case in the US will be vulnerable to blackmail if elected our President. He will be vulnerable to both governments and organised crime. Can he even pass a drug test? These are serious issues that Tinubu MUST respond to!”
The former presidential aide has suggested that every presidential candidate should be made to take a drug test administered by the NDLEA in order to determine if there is a present and past use of drugs by any candidate, adding that Nigeria cannot have a drug lord as president and that Nigeria will not become Colombia.
“All Presidential candidates should be made to take drug tests administered by the @NDLEA_Nigeria to determine present and past drug use. We can’t have a KNOWN DRUG LORD as our President. Heroin is more damaging than cocaine. Anybody connected to it belongs in JAIL!”
“We must know who, amongst those angling to occupy Aso Rock, has a past history with a drug cartel. Mba, mba, mba! The office of the President of Nigeria is too powerful to be entrusted to a man with known drug connections. Nigeria will not become Colombia. Tufiakwa!” He said.
