THE Edo State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has announced its upcoming Physician week which is scheduled to hold in October, 2022.
This was disclosed in a press release by the Local Organising committee chairman, Dr. Benson Okwara who doubles as the Deputy Chairman of the association.
Dr. Okwara in the press release said: “This years physician’s week billed to hold from the 23rd through 29th of October 2022 is going to be all engaging, informative and entertaining. Activities lined up for the week includes free Diabetic, hypertensive, Renal and cervical cancer screening in collaboration with the Medical Women Association (MWAN), another dynamic affiliate organization of NMA chaired by Dr. Isa Ehi Winifred.
The Physician week is an annual event that aims to be all inclusive as all medical personnel in addition to celebrating themselves are reaching in service to the communities.
It is a learning and entertaining period as doctors relax, attend workshops, improve and get ready to serve the people better.
The Edo state NMA led by Dr. Imoisili Udoka is an association dedicated to fostering a formidable professional body that is committed to fostering effective and efficient health care delivery, high ethical standards and welfare of its members.
They do this in addition to building a sustainable professional association of medical personnel that will advance qualitative healthcare services within the state and the nation at large.
