Sadly, bandits and terrorists are being given special treatment but Journalists are being jailed for revealing the truth.
Things you see in a country where criminals are in control.
A discreet investigation was initiated to identify those responsible for the leakage, which led to the identification of Bristol isaac Tamunobifiri, Michael Temidayo Alade, and David Hundeyin, as a suspect in connection with alleged crimes
The investigation also revealed that the suspect was responsible for leaking a sensitive restricted document generated from the office of the president to the secretary of the government of the federation
The suspect had also illegally accessed police-restricted data and posted directives from the office if the inspector General of police and many other restricted documents to jeopardize the security network in Nigeria
David Hundeyin took to his Twitter page to show his displeasure.
He said” Apparently, @DavidHundeyin is now a wanted criminal suspect in Nigeria.
What crime did this dangerous criminal commit? Journalism. It was journalism. He did journalism.
Under his post, a Twitter user aired his view.
“This is becoming too much. So, exposing criminal activities is now a crime in Nigeria. Welcome to western “democracy”. Not a surprise though. This is what you get when you let criminals run your government. They will use every means to crack down on those who expose their criminal activities.
Illiberal, pretend democracies like Nigeria should not exist. And the fact that it does exist means we can’t complain about the world not taking us seriously. 220m people succumbed to the moral dwarfs in our society. A complete stain on all of us
Journalism has become a crime in Nigeria. To the corrupt people in govt, we should allow them to do as they want, steal as they wish & kill as they want.
