Gboyega Oyetola has won in his polling unit in Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate polled 545 votes from his polling unit, situated at ward 1, LA school, Popo, Iragbiji, in Boripe Local Government Area.
His closest rival, Ademola Adeleke, of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had 69 votes.
The polling unit had 1457 registered voters, but recorded eight invalid votes.
However, Governor Oyetola lost the Government House polling unit in Osogbo to the PDP candidate, Adeleke.
In the governorship election score sheet for Agowande/Oshogbo GRA/ Governor’s office polling unit, in Olorunda Local government, prepared by Assistant Polling Officer (APO1), Nwachukwu Henrietta Chidinma, PDP scored 117 votes, while APC got 106 votes.
Other parties and their scores are Accord Party 2, AA 1, PRP 1 and SDP 1.
Meanwhile, National Secretary of the APC, Iyiola Omisore, has won his polling unit.
While the APC candidate, Oyetola polled 192 votes after the counting of the ballots at the polling unit 003, Ward 1, Ife East LGA, his closest rival and candidate of the PDP, Ademola Adeleke, polled 168 votes.
