The Labour Party presidential candidate had earlier on Tuesday announced his three days trip to Egypt in order to understudy its power, educational and other sectors.
As a consequence, many criticisms and applauds have poured in, flooding the presidential candidates twitter space with varying opinions.
While many are commending the former governor, others are apparently displeased by Mr. Obi’s decision to embark on the trip at this time.
One of those who thinks that the idea to embark on a trip at this time to carry out an understudy of another man’s nation is unwise is former presidential aspirant Omoleye Sowore.
In a reply to mr. Obi’s tweet Omoleye Sowore has described the Labour Party’s presidential candidate as unprepared and has opined that three days is not enough to learn that much. He considers the timing to be bad, given that it is just nine months to the election, and he expected the former VP candidate and governor to have had this in the bag already.
Sowore said “heard @PeterObi travelled to Egypt to learn how to fix education/power problems, this is exactly the problem with unprepared candidates. It is 9 months to election & a two-term gov. & former VP candidate want to go learn something from Egypt in 3 days? Wow!”
Sowore has been launching series of verbal attacks on Mr. Peter Obi since he declared his intention to run for president and had earlier called him an “orphan politician” in one of his tweets.
However, others have declared their continued support for Peter Obi and are continuously cheering him on. Below are a few of the tweets.
“Do whatever it takes to help us leave this mess sir!! Save Nigeria from doom The naija youths are counting on YOU”
“I will not only vote for you sir, but I will campaign and support you with everything possible, if you win we win, and if you lose we lose with you. We haven’t had a visionary and inspirational leadership for much too long, but with you is our hope!We believe in you.”
