The ongoing campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State for their presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has been welcomed with bad news as supporters of Atiku Abubakar have been attacked by unidentified political thugs.
This was confirmed by the former vice president on his verified Twitter page on Monday.
In his tweet, Atiku wrote: “I have just received emergency reports of attacks on PDP supporters by thugs sponsored to scuttle the ongoing PDP campaign rally in Kaduna State. This is undemocratic and against the Peace Accord all parties signed up for just a few weeks ago.
“I urge President Muhammadu Buhari to call on all parties to call their supporters and members to order and to ensure that campaigns, just as with the elections themselves, are kept free, fair and safe”.
This casualty comes in just a few days after suspected thugs attacked supporters of PDP in Zamfara State, where at least one person was killed, leaving others in severe injuries.
The PDP flagbearer had called on President Muhammadu Buhari to warn supporters of all the political parties in the country in order to avoid such incidents, subsequently.
