Tecno AI Vision for Smart Devices Announced: The company’s artificial intelligence (AI) feature set, Tecno AI Vision, was unveiled last week at the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin 2024. The functionalities will be accessible throughout its “smart device ecosystem,” according to the tech company.
The company also showcased several features, such as AI Erase, AI Search, and real-time call translation in over 20 languages. Notably, Tecno is also enhancing Ella, the native virtual assistant, by incorporating the features of Google Gemini. This will enable the AI assistant to carry out tasks and answer conversationally.
Tecno AI Vision
The Tecno AI Vision was announced by the firm through a press release. Although the name implies features connected to computer vision, the phrase refers to the whole range of AI features that it offers. Tecno did not specify if these features would be free or require payment. It was also unknown what devices were supported.
In a video, the company described the AI functions that consumers will be able to access. Ella, Tecno’s in-house virtual assistant, has received the most attention out of all of them. Gemini is being connected with the assistant to enable conversational functions.

Real-time call translation and transcription is another intriguing feature. According to Tecno, users will be able to access the call transcription while on the call, and more than 20 languages will be supported. Six major languages and more than fourteen minority languages are supported, according to Tecno. The list of supported languages has not been made public by the company.
Additionally, Tecno AI Vision has an email drafting tool that may produce an email in response to text instructions. Additionally, a prewritten email can be improved by the feature based on the given parameters. It can be used to draft information in several languages because it supports multiple languages.
AI Search is an additional intriguing tool that functions similarly to Circle-to-Search and is a visual lookup capability. Users can use it to quickly search the web for information by highlighting a portion or the entire screen. Furthermore, according to Tecno, the AI Vision function will have the ability to capture and summarize sessions.
The capacity of Tecno AI Vision to perform activities involving third-party apps is an advanced capability. For example, if a user instructs Ella AI assistant to book a cab for a specific location, the assistant will handle all the necessary steps and arrange the taxi immediately. Additionally, the suite includes tools for creating images.
However, Tecno hasn’t disclosed whether the AI features are powered by in-house or external models. It’s unclear if these functionalities will be added on-device or through a server.
