A video has emerged showing how the Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Kemebradikumo Pondei, fainted on Monday during an investigative hearing at the National Assembly.
Pondei collapsed where he was seated while being grilled by members of the committee led by Thomas Ereyitomi over alleged financial mismanagement at the NDDC.
It was noticed that the Acting NDDC boss fainted while one of the committee members was talking. This led to the disruption of the hearing as efforts were made to revive him.
The committee had grilled him for about 45 minutes before he passed out
Recall that Pondei last week staged a walkout on the committee, stating that the former head of the panel, Mr. Ojo is a man of interest in the ongoing investigation.
The committee again on Friday last week summoned both Prof. Pondei and Sen. Godswill Akpabio, the Minister for Niger Delta Affairs, following revelations by the former Acting Managing Director of the Commission, Joy Nunieh.
