WhatsApp Announces View Once Voice Messages to Send Disappearing Audio Messages, View Once, according to WhatsApp, is an illustration of the company’s ongoing innovation in privacy
In 2021, WhatsApp introduced View Once messages for text, images, and videos. The messaging app is now adding audio communications to its list of features. Users will be able to program audio messages to vanish after the recipient hears them thanks to this proposed feature.
View Once voice messages use the same “one-time” symbol as View Once images and videos, meaning they can only be listened to once. Over the next few days, users worldwide will receive View Once voice messages.
Through a blog post on Thursday, December 7, Meta announced the addition of View Once voice messages. With this function, users can record a voice message that will be deleted after the receiver hears it. With this feature, you may communicate private information like credit card numbers and streaming app credentials, plan surprises, and discuss sensitive information without worrying about it being recorded or shared. Voice messages set as “View Once” will have a “one-time” icon, meaning they can only be played once.

Over the next several days, the View Once audio messages will be available and accessible everywhere to all users.
