With WhatsApp, finding messages—such as voice notes and videos—that lack searchable text will soon be a lot easier as WhatsApp Web Beta Testers Can Now Search for Messages by Date.
With the most recent beta version of its online client, WhatsApp is introducing a feature that lets users search for messages sent or received on specific dates. When users are searching for a message and are unsure of the exact keywords to use, but are aware of the general time the message was delivered, the feature may come in helpful. Additionally, it needs to assist users in searching for messages—like voice notes and videos—that do not contain text material that can be searched.
The Meta-owned messaging service has added a new calendar icon that appears when looking for messages on the web client. This change was discovered by feature tracker WABetaInfo on WhatsApp Web Beta 2.2348.50. A small number of users using the most recent WhatsApp Web beta version can currently access the feature; it may take some time for all testers to receive it.

The new search by date feature for WhatsApp Web will let users find messages fast based on when they were sent or received, according to information given by the feature tracker. When the recently added icon is clicked, a calendar view with an option to choose a specific day appears. By doing this, the messages from that day will be listed.
The messaging app is also developing a feature that will function a little differently: sharing polls within channels. Details about this feature were provided by the feature tracker. Votes on polls will be anonymous, in contrast to polls shared in group chats, as part of the company’s efforts to safeguard user privacy.
