YouTube Music has been putting in a lot of work to improve its users’ listening experience. Reports are suggesting that the music streaming app is rolling out live lyrics to all Android and iOS users. This will be similar to Spotify’s live lyrics, which are displayed while a user plays a song. The feature on YouTube Music was apparently first noticed in April, and it is now widely available to users. However, not all songs will have live lyrics available at the moment.
According to 9to5Google, YouTube Music is bringing its live lyrics feature to the Android and iOS apps. With the live lyrics function, the line that is currently playing is highlighted in white, while the rest of the lyrics are shown in weak gray.
Users can access the live lyrics on YouTube Music by playing any song that has lyrics linked with it and then going to the Lyrics tab in the Now Playing screen. According to the source, live lyrics are now available on YouTube Music version 6.15 on Android and version 6.16 on iOS. Users who are unable to view the live lyrics can force close the app by swiping it away from the Recents screen.

Meanwhile, as stated earlier the live lyrics feature is not currently available for all songs, and owing to this fact, users may have to wait a little longer to get live lyrics for their favorite songs if they are not yet available.
The feature was initially seen earlier this year in April, and an earlier source stated that the live lyrics significantly enhance the font size and spacing when compared to the static lyrics now available on YouTube Music.
To recall, the live lyrics function was earlier handed out in certain countries, including India, in June 2020. It was later expanded to include additional markets by November 2021.
