Zenith Bank Plc of Nigeria has been rated as the best commercial bank in the country in the World Finance Banking Awards 2022.
The bank has retained the award for a second consecutive year.
Zenith Bank was also named as the best corporate governance bank in Nigeria.
The awards, which were presented to the bank’s Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ebenener Onyeagwu, at the London Stock Exchange (LSE), yesterday, were given in recognition to the bank’s ability to incorporate digital transformation and best-in-class sustainability and corporate governance practices, leading to an excellent business performance in a difficult economic situation.
While responding to the double recognitions, Mr. Onyeagwu said: “These awards reflect our strong business fundamentals, resilience and ability to adapt to the ever-changing dynamics of the market through our innovative solutions, as well as our commitment to global best practices.
